An
exciting new special, The Teva Mountain Games are the
United States’ largest celebration of mountain
sport, lifestyle and music featuring more than 2,000
top professional and amateur athletes from around the
world competing in 25 disciplines for over $100,000
in prize money.
This year’s sporting events include kayaking,
rafting, mountain biking, road cycling, World Cup Bouldering,
amateur climbing, fly-fishing, Stand Up Paddling, trail
running, a half marathon and a series of DockDogs canine
competitions.
The producer’s accomplished team of cinematographers
battled the elements and pushed the envelope of creativity
to capture on high definition film the stunning beauty
of Vail and the unparalleled action and brotherhood
of the athletes.
Acclaimed sports director Jay Jalbert and his award-winning
team of sports cinematographers used high speed cinematography
cameras, mounted cameras on the helmets of kayakers,
perched cameras precariously on rock outcroppings and
employed a cable activated camera systems to capture
the character, drive and the passion of amateur and
professional athletes as they battled each other and
the mountains of Vail.
