The
Royal family of England has been a fascination for
people around the world, especially when it comes to
the pomp and circumstance surrounding Royal coronations,
births, and of course, weddings!
THE ROYALS is a compilation of actual footage from
these monumental events. Relive these grand and majestic
moments from years past, including the wedding announcement
of Prince William and Kate Middleton!
Beginning with Princess Elizabeth during World War
II followed by her engagement to Prince Philip of Greece
(later Duke of Edinburgh). This is followed by the
birth of Prince Charles, later Prince of Wales and
the Queen’s accession to the throne in 1952 and
the Coronation in 1953. Also featured are the births
of Princess Anne and the Princes Andrew and Edward.
The Silver Jubilee precedes the engagement and wedding
of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer which was
followed the following year by the wedding of Prince
Andrew to Sarah Ferguson. The birth of the Princes
William and Harry precede the tragedy of the premature
death of Diana Princess of Wales in 1997.
Following the Funeral of Diana, we trace the weddings
of Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys Jones then Prince
Charles and Camilla. Between 1997 and the present day,
we see the Princes William and Harry as they grow into
young men including their time at University and their
involvement in the military service. We also trace
the relationship between William and Kate which culminates
in the program's climax, their engagement in November
2010.
